The 6 Essential Steps for Using a Gua Sha Effectively
Clémence LE SOLLIEC
Originating from traditional Chinese medicine, Gua Sha is an ancient technique known for several centuries, particularly during the Ming Dynasty in China. Historically used to stimulate the circulation of vital energy ("Qi") and relieve various bodily tensions, it has progressively adapted to facial care rituals.
The use of gua sha is based on controlled mechanical stimulation of the skin and subcutaneous tissues. The repeated gliding of the stone promotes blood microcirculation and lymphatic drainage, contributing to better cellular oxygenation and reducing swelling.
Its regular use helps to improve skin radiance, reduce the appearance of puffiness, and support skin tonicity.
Today, gua sha has become a ritual at the intersection of tradition and science: a precise, sensorial, and effective gesture that helps to smooth features, reveal the skin's natural luminosity, and transform the beauty routine into a true moment of expertise and well-being.

Today, gua sha has established itself as a ritual at the crossroads of tradition and science: a precise, sensory, and effective gesture that helps to smooth features, reveal the skin's natural radiance, and transform the beauty routine into a true moment of expertise and well-being. It stimulates acupressure points, drains lymph, restarts blood circulation, and relaxes muscles.
Cells are thus better oxygenated. Wrinkles, dark circles, and puffiness are reduced, and the skin becomes more radiant, smooth, and firm.
