The skin and its issues: better understanding, for better treatment.
The skin is a complex organ. At the interface between the body and the external environment, it constitutes the primary protective barrier against physical, chemical, microbial, and environmental aggressions. However, reducing the skin to a mere protective role would be incomplete: it also performs essential functions such as thermoregulation, immunosurveillance, sensory perception, and biological synthesis, notably through vitamin D production.
Unfortunately, like any organ, it can encounter various problems such as hyperreactivity, acne, hyperpigmentation, loss of firmness, congestion, or dryness and dehydration... These diverse issues can be linked to both the external environment and alterations in these biological mechanisms.
Understanding the physiology and structure of the skin therefore allows for a more precise approach and to adapt one's daily routine for a more relevant, targeted, and sustainably effective action.
